SIDDENDE VOLLEYBALL

SITTING VOLLEYBALL

Sitting volleyball is a sport that exists solely within parasports.

The game was invented after World War II in the Netherlands for injured soldiers.

The sport has evolved significantly since then but primarily targets amputees. However, it is played by anyone who can move around on the floor.

Players sit on the floor and move around using their arms.

The court is smaller than a regular volleyball court, and the net is only 1.15 meters high.

The game is played according to normal volleyball rules, with the exception that a block can be made on the serve.

There’s no need to be afraid of moving around on the floor.

Additionally, players need to be strong from the waist up and must have the ability to use both arms to play.
